The M.O.B project was born from the will of three winemakers, Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal and Jorge Ser?dio Borges who wanted to make a wine together. The D?o wine region was chosen due to their shared admiration for old wines and was born during a tasting of wines from the 1960s and 1970ﾡﾯs, which surprised with their elegance and freshness. This delicate, fresh blend of varieties and vineyards comprises 30% Encruzado from Seiaﾡﾯs 30-year-old vines and 65% Bical with 5% Malvasia-Fina from Gouveiaﾡﾯs much older vines. Both vineyards sit at between 500-550m. The grapes were fermented in small stainless steel tanks, then aged on lees (lightly stirred) in large, used 500l oak barrels for eight months, allowing the varieties and terroir to shine. A beautiful golden colour given by the maturation and richness of Encruzado and Bical grapes. The subtle aromatics are dominated by a complex bouquet of white fruit, herbs, and minerality. Gently textured, the Lote 3 Branco has a lively backbone of persistent, lemony acidity and crystalline minerality.
