In 1988, the Domaine Drouhin Classique Pinot Noir was the first wine produced by the Drouhin Family in Oregon. Three decades later, this cuvﾨﾦe has become a foundational element of many great wine lists and personal cellars. The fruit is harvested entirely from the familyﾡﾯs Dundee Hills estate, and the wine is vinified in the Drouhin family style with a focus on elegance, balance and finesse. The Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is complex and expressive on the nose, with aromas of flower petals, candied dark cherry and plum, interwoven with savoury notes, sandalwood and a touch of oak. The palate?presents dark fruit flavours and cherry, with pink peppercorn, rhubarb and five-spice. Ripe, well-integrated tannins are balanced by the graceful structure. While the wine is very pretty and approachable now, it has the charm and persistence to suggest it will effortlessly age over the next 10 years and more.?
