The RAR Vins Singulars Essﾨﾨncia is a red wine from the heart of Spain's Priorat region. Sourced from vines aged between 30 and 90 years old this is a blend dominated by the Garnacha grape alongside additions of Cari?ena and Syrah. This is the personal project of Scala Deiﾡﾯs winemaker Richard Rofes. The name RAR not only refers to the initials of Richard Rofes, but also means ﾡﾰrareﾡﾱ in Catalan. The rarity here refers to the winemaking style, which avoids the heavily oaked and extracted style of wines common to Priorat, in favour of a more elegant, fresh and fruit-driven expression.
