Donovan Rall's Red cuvﾨﾦe is a mediterranean?blend comprising Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan. The grapes were sourced from different sites in the Swartland region of South Africa selected specifically for the soils best suited to each grape varietal. "Hands-off" winemaking then allowed each parcel to develop naturally before the final blending. Fragrant, with notes of violets, black plum and blackberries, framed by a salty, mineral driven structure, crisp tannins and white pepper on the finish. Dry earth and plush currants lend a suave and sophisticated feel. There is a real depth of quality to this wine that offers substantial ageing potential too.
