The Giacomo Fenocchio Barolo Villero is sourced from 65 year old Nebbiolo vines grown on the historic ﾡﾰVilleroﾡﾱ cru in the village of Castiglione Falletto. After a traditional vinification the wine is aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks followed by a further 30 months in large capacity Slavonian oak casks and then further maturation in the bottle prior to release. Deep garnet in colour the aromas are complex and rich with fruit, floral scents, spices, underbrush and plums. The Barolo Villero has an intense flavour with sweet tannins and a long aftertaste. It expresses itself with its characteristic stimulating scent accompanied by a dry, but warm and elegant flavour which is long and satisfying.
