Cognac ABK6 is owned and run by the father and daughter team of Francis and Elodie Abᄄᆭcassis of Domaines Francis Abᄄᆭcassis. Domaines Francis Abᄄᆭcassis has been producing cognacs from its own estate for many years, but in 2005 Elodie and her father noticed a gap in the market: the need for a modern Cognac brand to appeal to a new generation of Cognac drinkers, and ABK6 was born. ABK6 is taken from the shorthand the family have always used to write their surname, Abᄄᆭcassis and is pronounced ᄀᆴA beh ca sisᄀᆵ. Each quality is blended from a selection of very old eaux-de-vies (much older than is legally required) and showcases the fruit of Domaines Francis Abᄄᆭcassis, composed of Domaine de Dizedon in Grande Champagne, Domaine Champagne Drilhon in Petite Champagne and Domaine de Chez Maillard in Fins Bois. Francis and Elodie firmly believe blending ᄀᄚeaux-de-vieᄀᄆ from their own family estates gives the ABK6 cognacs an inimitable character and depth. Domaines Abᄄᆭcassis was awarded the ᄀᆴExcellence in Craftsmanship Awardᄀᆵ at the International Spirits Challenge in 2010 and ᄀᆴCognac Producer of the Year Awardᄀᆵ at the New York International Spirits Competition in 2014. The Cognac ABK6 VSOP Superior Single Estate is golden in colour with deep amber highlights. The nose gives lovely aromas of subtly spiced wood, brioche cake and cinnamon. In the mouth, there is a harmonious association of fruit and wood aromas. Its delicate finish gradually ends on notes of fruit jellies and spices.[#intro]Voted Best VSOP at the World Cognac Awards...[/intro]
